Trak Experience - Salish Sea Expedition

$1,449.00

Embark on an unforgettable expedition with Body Boat Blade’s expert guide and Trak Pilot Alex LaLonde. For 7 days you will be immersed in the beautiful San Juan Islands, following the pull of the moon to go from island to island. Using our Trak Kayaks, we will eliminate the need for personal vehicles and kayak trailers, allowing for a fully human powered expedition.

Set off from Anacortes to Friday Harbor on the ferry with your boat and expedition gear and then weave your way back over 5 paddling days. The ferry ride allows you to soak in breathtaking views of the surrounding waters and rugged coastlines.

Once you arrive in Friday Harbor, your kayak adventure truly begins. We will hitch a ride to San Juan County Park to start our paddling journey. From there, paddling back toward Anacortes, you will navigate through a labyrinth of islands, each offering its own unique landscapes and ecosystems. The route choices and calmer summer weather water make this expedition suitable for advanced beginner/intermediate paddlers. More advanced paddlers will find suitable challenges in the big tidal exchanges that happen in the tight island channels. You will have the opportunity to explore secluded beaches, hidden coves, and spot the diverse flora and fauna that call these islands home.

Throughout the journey, Body Boat Blade’s experienced guides will provide skills coaching and opportunities to develop your personal skills. They will offer insights into the area’s natural history and cultural significance, enhancing your appreciation of this remarkable region. This expedition promises not only an exploration of stunning waterways but also an opportunity to create lasting memories amidst the breathtaking beauty of the San Juan Islands.

Trak kayaks are particularly unique for this expedition due to their modular design, which allows for easy transport and storage without compromising performance. The ability to adjust the kayak's shape on-the-water means paddlers can adapt to various conditions, enhancing stability and maneuverability. Trak Kayaks allow for reduced overhead. No more roof racks, trailers, or straps. Just pack it up and head to the water. They also allow for easy storage for those without a convenient place to store a 16ft kayak.

Made from lightweight materials, Trak kayaks offer impressive speed while still being robust enough to navigate through diverse environments. This adaptability makes them an ideal choice for explorers seeking versatility and resilience in their equipment, facilitating a more efficient and enjoyable adventure on the water. If you’re interested in buying a Trak 2.0 Kayak after your trip, there is a package deal available.
