Growing up along the coastal forests and beaches of northwestern Washington and the Inside Passage of Southeast Alaska, Reyn was always drawn to the water. From early days swimming in freezing coves to playing in boats of all sizes, her love for the sea only deepened. Expeditions in the Bay of Fundy and rock gardening in Mexico and Iceland solidified her passion for kayaking and the tight-knit paddling community.

Reyn believes there’s no wrong way to engage with sea kayaking—as long as it’s safe! She’s dedicated to making the sport accessible, fun, and approachable at every stage of learning. With a background in ecology and earth sciences from Dartmouth College, she brings a keen eye for the little details of water and wildlife, always eager to share her discoveries. When she’s not paddling, she’s out exploring the mountains, biking, climbing, creatively cooking, or tinkering with new ideas.
